Hi there.

How are you doing?

If you happen to feel like your world has turned upside down right now, remember — there are ways to cope. First of all, take good care of yourself. Spend time outside. Exercise. Meditate. Eat healthy foods. Get good sleep. Find a friend or therapist to confide in. But most important of all, continue to show up and do your best in the world. The world needs you. What are you good at? What is your superpower? Do more of that, please. Bring your best. If you can’t operate at your full capacity today, it’s okay. Do what you can. If you don’t know your superpower, ask your friends. They will tell you. And, have a listen to this week’s meditation for additional help with that.

Imagine a world where each of us tapped into our skills and talents fully, and used them joyfully. As a collective we would be so well off.

We all go through times when we feel off center. A good thing to say to yourself is, “This is how it is right now.” This statement both acknowledges the reality we face, and reminds us that all things are temporary. And then go forward with those two ideas in mind.

Being kind to ourselves and each other is also a really important step. Help loved ones find their strengths and remind them to put them to use. Collaborate. Support. Not only is it a nicer way to live, it will pay off later. Watch and see.

If you are out of sorts and need to reconnect to yourself, this week’s meditation is meant for you. It’s an intention setting meditation—one that calls on you to enlist the support you already have, and to envision how things could be. What do you want more of in your life? What skills can you use to get closer to that? What resources are already at hand? Go forward with your strengths and values in tact, and remind yourself that as long as you are moving in the right direction, you are getting prepared for better days.
