Hello there.
Can you feel a shift at this time of year? Where I live, the weather is cooling and the leaves have a slight tinge of yellow. As the world changes around us, we might busy ourselves with activities involving the end-of-summer, or back-to-school, maybe fall sports, vegetable harvesting, soup making, or cozying up with a good book.
The word busy is coming up in a lot of casual conversations. The carefree summer attitude has been replaced with sharpened pencils and fuller calendars. Instead of giving you one more thing to read or do, how about we keep it simple this week? Well, technically I am giving you another thing to do—meditation. But the ten-minute investment will pay off in a big way. You will emerge ready to take on the challenges of the new season.
And when we feel better, life feels more manageable. Don’t you think?
When we allow ourselves to slow down, we are rewarded with more patience to let things unfold as they will, instead of rushing to fix, manage, or mold things into how we want them to be. That doesn't mean we become passive! It just means we prioritize what’s important, do what we can, have grace for the rest, and keep going.
Enjoy the first days of fall and the opportunity for renewal.
Please let me know how you like the meditation, and please, share with your friends!
